“What time do you work until today?” Mimi asks Lisa in their office. Tonight is Christmas Eve. The past few weeks they have been busy with their Christmas presents. Lisa has made baskets out of wicker for everyone. That is handy for storing some things. And it looks nice. Her creativity has become clear again. She wanted to do something other than sewing clothes for once and came up with this. She had watched some videos on the internet, ordered materials and she started. She enjoyed it and turned out to be good at it.

“I’ll finish this, this is the last one. I want to put the presents down and then take a nice shower before dinner. I’m glad you are so good at keeping secrets,” says Lisa. “Otherwise I would never have been able to make so many for the others.” The past few weeks they have worked on everything together in their studio. Proudly opens the door of the office behind which the presents are.

“That counts for you too. I have spent quite a few hours knitting here. “I’ve already packed everything, it’s ready,” says Mimi, smiling proudly when she sees the overflowing contents. “I can’t concentrate on my work anymore. I’m going to put everything in the living room.” “That’s okay, darling.”

Lana storms in. “Lisa, help! I did something stupid.”

Claire puts down her work. “Oh girl. What did you do with your new clothes?”

Mimi quietly disappears with the contents of her closet to put them in the living room.

Lana turns around, embarrassed. “I thought it was too long, so I cut off a piece, but I think it’s just a bit too much.”

“Yes, this is indeed a bit too short,” Lisa admits calmly. “Do you still have the rest?” Lana promptly holds up the strip of fabric. “I’ll make your cardigan a bit longer, unfortunately I don’t have time for more.”

Marc sees that Claire is a bit stressed, even though she remains cool on the outside. He asks if he can help.

“Would you like to beat this egg mixture until it’s frothy?” Claire asks Marc.

“Sure.” He takes the whisk from her and gets to work, while the next pan is already on the stove for the next dish. It turns out that she’s almost done with everything and he then sets the table.

The pile of presents in the living room grows all day long. Finally, Lisa also has the opportunity to put down her baskets. Lana’s cardigan is a bit longer again and Lisa has received the solemn promise that she will go straight to her for such a job next time.

All the housemates dress up in their best clothes for Christmas Eve.
