Jean Paul and Noa are good friends and both get along very well with the women. Jean Paul a bit more, because he has a more open character than his friend. Noa is always friendly when talked to, but he will rarely say anything on his own.

Some time ago Claire placed an advertisement for an additional tenant. A few people showed up, but not many. Two were rejected because they did not fit into the group and another had already left when it became clear what kind of house she would end up in. Claire and Lisa wonder whether they will still be able to find someone. It would be nice if it still worked. Perhaps withdraw the ad or word it differently?

One afternoon the bell rings. Claire is in the kitchen preparing dinner and shouts that the door is open. A man comes in and introduces himself.

“Good afternoon, I’m Marc. I heard through someone that you are still looking for a tenant.”

“Good afternoon, I’m Claire. Yes that’s right. Your timing is very good,” she says. “We’re going for coffee in an hour, then you can meet the others.”

“Then I’ll get something tasty for coffee,” Marc says spontaneously with a smile.

Claire laughs. “They will appreciate that.”

A while later he returns with a box full of pastries which he places on the table with a proud smile.

“Marc,” Mimi exclaims. She gets up and walks behind Noa.

“Swan,” calls Marc. They hug each other, smiling. Noa looks even grumpier than usual.

“Delicious,” Lana exclaims, looking admiringly into the box.

“Looks good,” says Jean Paul and introduces himself to Marc.

“Now I recognize you,” Lisa exclaims. “You are also from the ballet academy.”

Marc nods. “Mimi and I danced together. Very unfortunate that she had to stop because of her knee. She was very good.” He looks at Mimi. “How are you doing with that?”

“It’s going reasonably well. My knee likes the rest,” she answers.

“But not you, I think,” says Marc.

“No, I miss dancing.”

Lisa and Lana also introduce themselves, while Marc finds a place at the table, next to Lisa. It is a pleasant conversation with Marc. He says he was hired by another dance company in the new year and needs a place to live that is closer than his current apartment. Once he finds something, he will cancel the lease.

The others look at each other and agree wordlessly, but Noa doesn’t look at anyone. Claire says he can come and live. Jean Paul gives Marc a tour of the house.
