Chapter 5 – Wallpaper

Every day, before Claire goes to work as a manager in a restaurant, she puts a shopping list on the kitchen table. As promised, Mimi does the shopping for her when she needs some relaxation from work. It becomes a routine that works well, to the satisfaction of everyone.

One evening, Claire, Lisa, Lana, JP and Mimi are sitting at the table enjoying a delicious dinner. They talk about the things they did that day.

Lisa says that that afternoon she selected wallpaper and carpeting for the rooms of the house. She talks about the colors for which rooms and what kind of wallpaper and carpeting it will be. Everyone is very curious. They gave her free rein, because they know Lisa is very creative and has good taste. They are sure it will be beautiful.

Lana and JP say they don’t care what to put on the walls. They have already renovated a lot in the house and several rooms are ready for wallpaper. The windows and doors in some rooms still need to be replaced, but that will come later. First, rooms need to be furnished so that there are more habitable spaces. The kitchen is becoming too small to live and sleep in. It’s a bit of a hassle.

Tomorrow we will look at the combinations, Lisa says with a mysterious smile.

The next day, before Claire and Lisa go to work, Lisa explains the purpose of the wallpaper. Each room has the appropriate carpeting and wallpaper. All rooms are a little different, but it is certainly the same style. Lisa’s choice is unanimously approved. Mimi becomes very enthusiastic and helps to unpack the packages. She thinks it’s beautiful and is very curious to see what the end result will be. Lana and JP will also make beautiful furniture there.
