Chapter 7 – Christmas Fever

It’s almost Christmas. Like almost everyone else, the residents of the house are overcome by Christmas fever. They really want the house to be as ready as possible.

Lana is busy painting the door between the kitchen and the living room. She also paints the window frames in both rooms. She enjoys the painting. She whistles and sings the songs in her head.

Lisa sews the curtains for the living room. When the curtains hang, it becomes much more cozy in the room. She and Claire joined their couches to create enough seating for everyone. To make it a unity, she also makes new covers for it. She chose a soft velvet for it with calm red and green tones.

Claire puts together lists for Christmas dinner. Mimi dutifully does the shopping for her every time, so that Claire can continue with her preparations. She can already make several things ahead and freeze them.

Mimi makes sure she has all the Christmas decorations ready. As soon as the living room is ready, Mimi starts decorating.

Jean Paul doesn’t show up much. He doesn’t like the Christmas hustle and bustle and works in other rooms of the house. Even though he keeps to himself, he still gets a pang of Christmas fever because of the behavior of his housemates. He wants to have as much ready as possible in the house.

Claire would like to invite a friend who will be alone for Christmas this year. His name is Jacques.

The day before Christmas, Lisa has a surprise for everyone. She made Santa hats.
