Chapter 14 – Wardrobes for the girls’ clothes
Reading time:

Jean Paul is very happy with his bed and blue dressing gown. He proudly parades around the house in it. He slept wonderfully on his new mattress.
“Thank you for the new dressing gown,” he says and gives Lisa a big kiss on the cheek, to which she blushes. Satisfied, he sits down on a kitchen chair to start his breakfast.
Lisa is very good with her customization. She measures someone and it fits perfectly when she’s done. As a child she already made clothes for her dolls, from memory. She took a look and started working on the fabrics.

“I’m still busy with other things at the moment, but soon I will make more for you,” Lisa says to Jean Paul.
Lana pokes him in the side. “Lucky.”
“What are you doing then?” she asks Lisa.
“Oh, with my work and with things around the house,” she answers evasively.
Jean Paul and Lana try for a while to find out what Lisa is making, but that remains a secret for the time being, because Lisa won’t reveal anything.
In the evening during dinner, Lana and Jean Paul announce that they have started working on the wardrobes. The shed is very small to make such large cabinets, so they prepare the cabinets in parts and then assemble them in the girls’ room. It will cause some mess, but they will clean it up, they promise.

The others are happy that they are working on the cupboards and believe that it will be beautiful again. They will be large hanging cabinets with a drawer under each door. On the outside under the sloping roof there will be an open cupboard for shoes. The former kitchen chairs come from the attic as clothing chairs. Lisa supplies the rugs for the bed. There will also be an open rack for Mimi and Lana under the bedroom floor and behind the stairs.
When it is ready and decorated, Jean Paul looks at Lana doubtfully. “Will this be enough closet space?”
Lana laughs. “For me, yes, but for Claire, Lisa and Mimi? I doubt it.”
